LALOLILUM is a world, whose inhabitants have their very peculiar peculiarities, and where absolutely nothing seems to be like it is on earth. – Isn't it? Or have you ever had to wait for a Dimglow to enlighten you? Or have you experienced that a single individual was able to conjure up a global catastrophe simply because his feelings have been hurt?    When the miffed Sweacock holes up in the Groggy Mountains on Didoes the continents of Lalolilum are threatened to sink into tsunamis of candyfloss. In search of a solution for this problem the residents of Lalolilum have to realize that they are only able to help each other by respecting their peculiarities and by supporting each other with their talents. But to restore the balance of their planet they also have to face terrible dangers such as farting witchgrass, and they have to overcome dreadful obstacles like a striking lack of ideas.    LALOLILUM is a humorous picture book which tells a witty fantasy fable for all Peter Pans with a great sense of nonsense, and it is a charmingly cheeky plea for respect and balance.

LALOLILUM es un mundo cuyos habitantes poseen sus peculiares peculiaridades y donde nada parece a ser como aquí es. – ¿O es que acaso has tenido que esperar alguna vez a que una Lucierucha te traiga la iluminación? ¿O has visto quizá cómo un solo individuo, simplemente porque está ofendido, es capaz de provocar una catástrofe global?    Desde que el afrentado Cerdavo se recluyó a Ordinariez en las Groggy Mountains, Tsunamis de algodón de azúcar amenazan con hundir los continentes de Lalolilum. En su búsqueda de la solución a este problema, los moradores de Lalolilum descubren, que el único modo en que pueden ayudar es valorando las peculiaridades de cada uno, respetándose mutuamente, y contribuyendo con sus propias facultades. Pero para evitar esta gran catástrofe y recuperar el equilibrio del planeta, tendrán que vencer terribles peligros, como las pedorras hierbas de bruja y superar horribles obstáculos tales como una impresionante carencia de riqueza imaginativa.    LALOLILUM es una fábula ilustrada para todos que albergan un gran sentido del sinsentido, además es un alegato encantador a favor del respeto y el balance.

Kaengefanten und Tapiraffen bevoelkern "Humbug", "Bockmist" und die anderen Kontinente der Lalolilum. Das Wetter ist zum Glueck meist schlecht und das leckere Salzwasser der Fluesse verwandelt sich im Ozean in eklig suesse Zuckerwatte. Auf Lalolilum ist also alles paletti. Bis sich eine scheinbar unscheinbare Kleinigkeit zu einer gigantischen Katastrophe ausweitet. Als der Meeresspiegel ansteigt und die bloede Zuckerwatte die Kontinente ueberschwemmt, verlieren die Bewohner der Lalolilum ihr Zuhause und werden zu obdachlosen Fluechtlingen. Um ihren aus dem Gleichgewicht geratenen Planeten zu retten, muessen sie sich mit furchterregenden Gefahren und schrecklichen Hindernissen auseinandersetzen – wie mit furzendem Hexenkraut und einem eklatanten Mangel an Einfallsreichtum...    LALOLILUM ist eine humorvolle Bilderfabel fuer alle (auch erwachsenen) Kindskoepfe mit einem grossen Sinn fuer Unsinn und ein bezaubernd freches Plaedoyer fuer mehr Achtung und Balance.

This is Lalolilum. She is the third of nine celestial bodies belonging to a planetary system in a distant galaxy and embraces thirteen continents: Rubbish, Flubdub, Nonsense, Fuss, Gimmick, Didoes, Hokum, Pranks, Hodgepodge, Falderal, Humbug, Flimflam and the almost invisible celestial continent Mirage.  . . . Este es Lalolilum. Ella es el tercero de los nueve cuerpos celestes del sistema planetario de una lejana galaxia, posee además trece continentes: Boberías, Disparate, Sandez, Pataletas, Tonterías, Ordinariez, Tralalá, Embrollo, Cachivaches, Chamullo, Fumada, Borricada, y el casi invisible continente del cielo Espejismo.  . . . Dies ist Lalolilum. Sie ist der dritte von neun Himmelskoerpern eines Planetensystems in einer fernen Galaxie und hat dreizehn Kontinente: Bockmist, Quatsch, Flausen, Zinnober, Stipstoerken, Maetzchen, Fisimatenten, Schnapsidee, Gedoens, Larifari, Humbug, Mumpitz und den fast unsichtbaren Himmelskontinent Schallundrauch.  . . .

. . . Narrow rivers and broad streams wind through the wide plains of Rubbish. When they flow into the sea, their reddish saltwater turns yellow and is transformed into candyfloss. The dry wetlands of Rubbish are the dwelling place of the Moocatooster, who carefully hides her nests in the high grown grass. She is not exceedingly clever, even a little naive, but very sociable. Together with her neighbour, the humorous Sweacock, she grows useful plants like Scotch Broom and Welsh Brush. They both share their harvest with all the other inhabitants of Lalolilum.  . . . . . . A través de las vastas llanuras de Boberías fluyen ríos estrechos y amplios arroyos. Al desembocar en el océano, su salada agua roja se tiñe de amarillo y se convierte en algodón de azúcar. En sus áridas vegas vive la Vacata que esconde sus nidos cuidadosamente en los elevados pastos. No se le conoce por ser muy inteligente, incluso un poco inocente pero muy sociable. Junto a su vecino, el divertido Cerdavo cultiva plantas útiles como Retamas de Escobas y Hierbas de Cepillos Limpiaestufa. Ambos distribuyen su cosecha en toda Lalolilum.  . . . . . . Durch die weiten Ebenen auf BOCKMIST schlaengeln sich schmale Fluesse und breite Baeche mit ihrem roetlichen Salzwasser. Wenn sie in den Ozean muenden, faerbt sich ihr saftiger Inhalt gelb und wird zu Zuckerwatte. In ihren trockenen Auen lebt die KUHTZE, die ihre Nester sorgfaeltig im hohen Gras versteckt. Sie ist nicht gerade besonders intelligent, sogar ein wenig einfaeltig, aber sehr gesellig. Gemeinsam mit ihrem Nachbarn, dem humorvollen SCHWAU baut die Kuhtze nuetzliche Pflanzen wie HEIZUNGSRIPPENBUERSTENGRAS und BESENGINSTER an. Ihre Ernte verteilen die beiden dann auf der gesamten Lalolilum an die anderen Bewohner und Bewohnerinnen.  . . .

. . . Because the Sweacock was so arrogant now, the others did not like him anymore and kept out of his way. – Well, who would take to a person who considers himself or herself superior to others?! But the Sweacock was hurt because the others shunned him. Thus, he sulkily holed up to the Groggy Mountains on Didoes.  . . . . . . Debido a que el Cerdavo se volvió tan arrogante, los demás decidieron evitarlo. Quién encuentra simpático a alguien que cree que es mejor que los demás?! El que los otros no querían saber más de él, lastimó al Cerdavo. Ofendido se recluyó en Ordinariez, en las Groggy Mountains, donde permaneció enfadado.  . . . . . . Weil der Schwau so eingebildet wurde, mochten die anderen ihn nicht mehr und gingen ihm aus dem Weg. – Wer findet schon jemanden sympathisch, der sich selbst als etwas besseres vorkommt als andere?! Aber dass die anderen nichts mehr mit ihm zu tun haben wollten, verletzte wiederum den Schwau. Gekraenkt zog er sich nach Maetzchen in die Groggy Mountains zurueck und schmollte.  . . .

. . . But the global consequences of this problem, which initially seemed to be inconspicuous and rather personal, were even worse. The fugitive Sweacock had taken flight to a place, which was quite inappropriate for a fat Sweacock like him. With his weight additionally, Didoes became too heavy and slowly began to sink into Hokum. Thus, the candyfloss level rose and the other continents overbalanced and got into dire straits as well. – But how can the residents of Lalolilum escape from this disaster? . . . . . . Aún peores fueron las consecuencias globales de este problema, en un inicio aparentemente insignificante y personal, ya que el refugiado permanecía en las Groggy Mountains, un lugar inapropiado para un gordo Cerdavo. Con él, Ordinariez llegó a ser demasiado pesado y comenzó a hundirse en Tralalá. Debido a esto subió el nivel del algodón de azúcar y los demás continentes perdieron su equilibrio y cayeron en situaciones de emergencia. – ¿Y cómo escapar ahora a este desastre? . . . . . . Noch schrecklicher aber waren die globalen Folgen dieses anfangs scheinbar unscheinbaren und nur persoenlichen Problems, denn der Gefluechtete sass in den Groggy Mountains an einem ziemlich ungeeigneten Ort fuer einen fetten Schwau. Mit ihm wurde Maetzchen naemlich zu schwer und begann, langsam nach Fisimatenten abzusinken. Dadurch stieg der Zuckerwattespiegel an und auch die anderen Kontinente verloren ihr Gleichgewicht und gerieten in Notlagen. – Und wie kommt man aus einem solchen Schlamassel wieder raus? . . .
